Woobie Wear, Inc. is proud to be a strong supporter of our community, including business partnerships with local nonprofit agencies and donations to charitable organizations and healthcare foundations since our founding in 2006.

Through my husband's eight year role at NISH , a central nonprofit agency working to create employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities through the Federal AbilityOne program, we have found a way to help develop human potential through our unique approach to supplier diversity.

We currently work with St. Coletta's of Illinois Foundation, www.stcolettail.org, for the production of several of our product lines, helping to support their mission of providing choices and opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities.

Woobie Wear has also partnered with several other local nonprofit agencies which work to create employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities.

In addition to supporting these exceptional organizations, Woobie Wear proudly sponsors and donates to several charitable and healthcare foundations, including:

  • Victory Reins, www.victoryreins.org a therapeutic horse riding center for people with disabilities located in Peotone, Ilinois.

  • Edwards Hospital Heart Foundation, Edwards Hospital, Naperville, Illinois.

  • Dana Farber Cancer Institute's 2008 Pan-Mass Challenge, www.rideforthem.com.  The PMC supports the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.

  • Gigi's Playhouse, www.gigisplayhouse.org, a Down Syndrome awareness center.  They offer activities, resources, educational programs and support for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.  Woobie Wear provided all the hair accessories for a fund-raising fashion show in November 2009.

  • Hope Children's Hospital in Oaklawn, Ilinois.

  • Children's Hospital in Tokyo, Japan.
    Shizuoka Children's Hospital

  • Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.

  • Spina Bifida Association of Houston.

  • Beautiful Miracles Pageant ~ Pageants with a Purpose, located in Houston, Texas.
